Jacob Jearum-Bush - Music and Technology

Hello There! 

My name is Jacob, don't call me Jake, Jakey, Yakob; it's Jacob.

I'm a musician and actor but I'm more into music.

I'm studying Music Technology in college and it's pretty darn good!

My sister and I will be writing the music part of the blog so we'll be covering new bands, new albums, live gigs (local and large events), new videos and hopefully sharing some song writing tips, playing guitar and drum tips, tips for starting a band and home recording techniques (as my knowledge grows!)

Music is my life! I play drums, guitar, keyboard and bass and I've been a bollock load of bands, which have gone nowhere YET!

I grew up with a Grandmother who taught music and my Dad who was also a musician and I followed their side of life. I've played music practically all my life, there are even pictures of me at the piano as a 4-year-old (but not playing too well haha). I began guitar lessons in year 4 and carried on until year 6 but at the time it didn't interest me. Then in year 7 we were taught basic keyboard skills and stuff and I found it so interesting that I actually decided to learn to play. For 3 years I played nothing but keyboard but I had a little secret; I'd also been playing guitar again! In year 9 I finally had the courage to come out and play guitar to people and became more interested in that. In year 10 the arrival of Ishan (the new student from America but he's actually Indian but born English... yeh..) made me want to drum because he was so damn good! So funnily enough we actually swapped occasionally and he'd show me drum stuff and I'd show him guitar stuff. Now he's a far better guitarist than me and I'm outdone him on drums too I think! So it turned out to be good.

My sister hasn't written her part of the blog yet, but basically she's into art, drama, music, fashion and photography and she is a wonderful person.
